The (4) rusted BAC metal towers were replaced by (4) of the 6-fanTower Tech Cooling Towers in January of 2014. AREE Campus Point is a great example of HP savings on partial loads. The system can vary from 600 GPM to 7200 GPM. When the load calls for anything between 2400 GPM and 7200 GPM, all 4 towers will handle the load at a much lower RPM. This also requires far less BHP and a greatly reduced dBA (decibel level) than the metal towers staging the load down by running fewer towers at a higher RPM, BHP, & dBA.
The structure of the towers is fiberglass (FRP) which has a 15 Year Warranty meaning it will have and a long life. The full Stainless Steel towers by other manufacturers only have a structural warranty of 5 years.
Since the towers are shutting down less often, there are also less deposits that form as the water dries out in the towers that are shut down.
